TACONOVA mixing valve 11/4″ NOVAMIX – 20-70°C

The automatic thermostatic mixing valve NovaMix High Capacity ensures a constant temperature of mixed water at the sampling point as a central mixing device. This guarantees constant protection against scalding at the point of collection, even at high tank temperatures. The large cross-section of the valve in NovaMix High Capacity reduces the pressure drop of the valve (higher kV S), which significantly increases the flow capacity of the mix at peak consumption. A special seal on the control piston reduces unwanted mixing of cold water to a minimum (low internal cold water leakage), which results in maximum utilization of the tank temperature. The NovaMix High Capacity thermostatic mixing valve serves mainly in the medical field (SVGW approval) as a control device for reducing the domestic water temperature from the hot water tank. There are many other uses for areas where a constant mix temperatures is required. E.g. as a mixing device maintaining a constant temperature during surface heating and when charging the storage tank with a solid fuel boiler.

FUNCTION:

The mixing valve is supplied with hot water from the tank and cold water from the water supply system. The mix temperature is recorded using a thermostatic element and compared with the set nominal value. When the mixer temperature deviates from the required value, the thermostat acts on the control piston, which regulates the amount of hot and cold water supply at the inlets so that the mixer temperature corresponds to the set value.
